About Print Copies & Cost
Aji is pleased to offer print copies of our inaugural Fall 2014 issue through a second-party vendor.
In addition, we hope to have a print version of the Spring 2015 issue available for purchase online by January 2016. The cost of over twenty dollars a copy may seem a little steep; these days, that’s pretty much what it takes to assure high quality graphics in print for a magazine the size of Aji. Since we aren’t doing a large print run, we can’t get the reduced prices available to larger magazines. Rest assured, we are an all-volunteer staff; not a cent goes to anyone. But since it costs hundreds of dollars a year to pay for our web domain and our submissions software, Aji has decided to keep a small portion of every sale. If we end up with extra funds, we will use additional money toward starting a chapbook contest with a modest print run. Our goal is to support artists and writers! We appreciate your interest in Aji—we are offering print issues as a service to you. We are still a free online magazine, and have no expectations of purchase or donation from anyone. If you have any difficulties with our selected vendor, please email and let us know. We are confident you will get consistent, high quality service, but we will do our best to correct any problems that may arise. We hope you will be pleased with this new service; as always, we welcome your ideas! |
